CASE STUDY
Gemma & Joe’s Kitchen
The Challenge:
Gemma & Joe from Heathfield were looking to get their new kitchen installed in their recently purchased first home. On our initial site visit, we were shown their kitchen supplier’s plans and proposed products. Having many years experience in fitting kitchens, we asked if we could make some suggestions that might work better for them and their space. After some good discussions, we suggested that we request a comparison design & quote from our trusted kitchen designer, to see if some money could be saved.
The Solution:
Our designer was able to make the desired changes, upgrade some appliances and offer a more competitive price, so Gemma and Joe decided to proceed with our supplier instead. We can work with all suppliers but we like to share our experience and offer advice where suitable, in the hope that our client’s get the best price before committing to such a large expense.
The kitchen that was inherited with the house, was run down and dated, with lots of visible pipework. The first job was to conceal the exposed pipes in new boxings and plaster all walls and the ceiling. The delivery of the new kitchen was timed so that Gemma & Joe were able to paint over the weekend, before we began to fit the the new units. Once we completed the full install including worktop and appliances, the kitchen was unrecognisable.
The new layout, combined with the light-grey unit finish and sparkle effect worktop, resulted in a bright and spacious kitchen they can enjoy for many years to come.
